Abacus Docs is built on a straightforward promise: your documents are yours, your data is protected, and we will never use what you upload to train AI models. We operate under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, and every decision we make about data handling is guided by the principle that you should remain in full control of your information at all times.
Core privacy guarantee: Abacus Docs will never use your uploaded documents or generated outputs to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model — ours or anyone else’s. Your content exists on our platform solely to deliver the service to you.

Your data stays yours

When you upload a document to Abacus Docs, ownership does not change hands. You retain full intellectual property rights over everything you upload and every output the platform generates for you. Abacus Docs holds only a limited processing license — the narrow technical permission needed to store, process, and return your documents as part of delivering the service you have signed up for. This means:
  • No AI training. Your documents are never used as training data for machine learning models, large language models, or any other AI system.
  • Full IP ownership. All rights in your uploaded content and AI-generated outputs remain with you.
  • Limited processing only. We process your data strictly to provide, maintain, and support the Abacus Docs service — nothing beyond that.
Abacus Docs is operated by Hayat Gordeev Holdings Europe Ltd (registered in England and Wales, Co. No. 17229457). For EU residents, our designated EU Representative is Prighter EU Rep GmbH, Vienna, Austria.

What data we collect

To provide the Abacus Docs service, we collect the following categories of data:

Account information

Your name, email address, and any profile details you provide when you register or update your account.

Uploaded documents

The files and documents you upload to the platform for processing, along with any AI-generated outputs produced from them.

Usage data

Information about how you interact with Abacus Docs — features used, actions taken, and platform performance data that helps us improve the service.

Payment information

Billing details required to process your subscription or one-off payments. Payment data is handled by our secure payment processor and is not stored in full on our systems.
We also retain communications you send us — for example, support requests or feedback — so we can respond effectively and improve our service.

How your data is used

Every piece of data we collect has a specific purpose tied directly to delivering Abacus Docs to you:
  • Service provision. We use your account information and uploaded documents to operate the platform, process your requests, and return results to you.
  • Support and communications. We use your contact details and message history to respond to your queries and send you essential service notifications.
  • Analytics and improvement. We use aggregated, anonymized usage data to understand how the platform performs and where we can improve the experience. This data cannot be used to identify you individually.
  • Billing. We use your payment information solely to process transactions and manage your subscription.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising purposes.

Your rights under UK and EU GDPR

You have a robust set of rights over your personal data. To exercise any of them, contact us at privacy@abacustechnologies.co and we will respond within the legally required timeframe. These rights apply under both UK GDPR and EU GDPR. Where a right is subject to legal exceptions, we will explain this clearly if it affects your request.

International data transfers

Abacus Docs is a global service, and some of your data may be transferred to or processed in countries outside the UK and European Economic Area — specifically Kuwait and the United States. Whenever such transfers occur, we put appropriate safeguards in place to ensure your data receives the same level of protection it would in the UK or EEA:
  • Kuwait: Transfers are made using the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), as applicable.
  • United States: Transfers are covered by EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or, where available, adequacy decisions.
You can request further information about the specific safeguards in place for any transfer by contacting us at privacy@abacustechnologies.co.

If you have any questions about how we handle your data, or if you wish to exercise any of your rights, reach out to our privacy team directly: Email: privacy@abacustechnologies.co If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority:
