What you opt in
On a schema, enable Black Hole participation. The schema must be Active with a published, non-deprecated version. Participation is that flag and that published version — a draft or archived schema does not receive files. Each participating schema has a default batch. Classified files are filed there and extracted like any other batch document. Spend is billed as Black Hole usage against the uploader (the person whose agent dropped the file). What happens to a file
- The agent uploads the file (PDF or image; same size limit as the rest of the product — 64 MB).
- A classifier scores it against participating schemas.
- High confidence → filed into that schema’s default batch automatically.
- Medium confidence → Needs review.
- No match → Unmatched.
Review queue
Owners and Admins on an allowlisted organization open Black Hole in the sidebar (/organization/?tab=blackhole).
Three stacked sections:
- Needs review — pick a participating schema and Route, or Dismiss to Unmatched.
- Unmatched — route to a schema, or leave it.
- Filed — a ledger of items already assigned, with a link to the batch.
Routing does not pass through the automatic “classified” bucket. The file goes straight into the chosen schema’s default batch. Dismiss is only available from Needs review.
