# Digital documents

> Coming soon: docx, xlsx, csv, md, html, pptx, adoc. Not uploadable today.

  **Coming soon.** Digital-document uploads are not available on the live product. The picker and the server both accept **PDF and images only** until we turn the feature on.

Today you can upload:

* PDF (`.pdf`)
* Images: `.jpg`, `.jpeg`, `.png`, `.webp`, `.heic`, `.tiff`, `.tif`

Each file up to **64 MB**. See [Upload and your library](/guides/uploading-documents).

## What will be accepted later

When digital uploads are enabled, these extensions will join the picker:

| Kind         | Extensions                      |
| ------------ | ------------------------------- |
| Word         | `.docx`                         |
| Spreadsheet  | `.xlsx`, `.csv`                 |
| Presentation | `.pptx`                         |
| Markup       | `.md`, `.html`, `.htm`, `.adoc` |

Legacy `.doc` and `.xls` are **not** on that list.

Until then, convert those files to PDF (or a screenshot) if you need them in Abacus Docs.

Chat can already reason over a spreadsheet *after* digital uploads land — that path is wired, but it stays unused while the upload gate is closed.
