# Deep Reader — chat on one document

> The Chat tab on a document answers questions about that file only.

**Deep Reader** is the **Chat** tab on a single document (`/document/attachment/<id>/`). It is not the same as **Chat** in the sidebar.

## How to use it

1. Open a processed document from **My Documents** or a batch.
2. Click the **Chat** tab.
3. Type a question in plain language.

Answers are grounded in this file's transcription and schema fields. You can clear the thread from the tab when you want a fresh start.

On a **public share link**, the Chat tab is hidden. Recipients see **Sections** and **Schema** only.
