# Black Hole

> Allowlisted ingest: agent drop, classify, default batch or mod Route/Dismiss.

<Warning>
  Black Hole is available only to **allowlisted organizations**. If you do not see **Black Hole** in the sidebar, your organization is not on the list. Contact your Abacus representative — this is not a self-serve switch.
</Warning>

Black Hole is zero-config ingest. A desktop agent watches a folder, uploads each file, and Abacus Docs classifies it against the schemas you have opted in.

## What you opt in

On a schema, enable Black Hole participation. The schema must be **Active** with a published, non-deprecated version. Participation is that flag *and* that published version — a draft or archived schema does not receive files.

Each participating schema has a default batch. Classified files are filed there and extracted like any other batch document. Spend is billed as Black Hole usage against the **uploader** (the person whose agent dropped the file).

## What happens to a file

1. The agent uploads the file (PDF or image; same size limit as the rest of the product — **64 MB**).
2. A classifier scores it against participating schemas.
3. High confidence → filed into that schema's default batch automatically.
4. Medium confidence → **Needs review**.
5. No match → **Unmatched**.

## Review queue

Owners and Admins on an allowlisted organization open **Black Hole** in the sidebar (`/organization/?tab=blackhole`).

Three stacked sections:

* **Needs review** — pick a participating schema and **Route**, or **Dismiss** to Unmatched.
* **Unmatched** — route to a schema, or leave it.
* **Filed** — a ledger of items already assigned, with a link to the batch.

**View document** opens the original in a new tab (PDF and raster images inline; other types download).

<Note>
  Routing does not pass through the automatic "classified" bucket. The file goes straight into the chosen schema's default batch. Dismiss is only available from Needs review.
</Note>

Do not use the retired `/ingest/review/` URL — it redirects to this tab.
